This cache is located nearby the "creux-du-Van" which is a marvellous natural circus of Rocks, easy to walk with kids, for a day in the green field of Neuchatel
My Mum got interested in geochaching so.... I took her to hide her first cache this is the result:
First to go to the "creux-du-van" you will have to find a good map as the roads to go the parkings are not really well shown.
the easiest way is to go to Bevaix (NE) and from the middle of the village go to "(La) Fruitière" (towards North) during the drive up at point N 46°56.181 E 6°46.698 turn left and keep on going up.
there you will reach a free car park at N 46°56.052 E 6°44.523. the trail start there at 270° behind the restaurant la Grand-Vy (by the way the best ham and rosti I have ever eaten try them) from there you will have around 20 min walk towards the Natural Park of the Creux-du-van.
the cache is OUTSIDE this park at the point N 46°55.975 E 6°43.926.
From there you HAVE to go to the view point N 46°55.935 E 6°43.784 which is a fantastic view, will you find the painted Swiss flag in the rocks at 300°???
Be really carefull as by fog or darkness you cannot really good see the edge of the cliff and you are now in a strict Natural Park so respect the signs.
there are severals other roads that leads to this place, you can even go by bike, but not to the cache as bikes are not allowed in this Park.
You can also keep on going to the other side of the Creux-du-van and go to the restaurant "le Soliat" very good swiss cheese fondue... Miam...
Don't forget to take some binoculars as there are many many animals around and even in the "creux"
