Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the shores of the Bay in Door County.

Look for a giant relic of the past situated between wind and water. In 1893, John Leathem and Thomas Smith created this place for the removal of dolomite, white and chalky-visable all around the site. Today, it is the resting place of the ghostly reminants of what you seek.

To log this cache explore the area and look for the tablet nearby that is inscribed with much of the information you seek. E-mail at least one answer to the following questions to the link in the Professor's profile to log your find:

1. What is this relic of the past? (Be specific as to type and purpose)

2. When was this relic completed? (The date will do)

3. Who manufactured this relics' original form of propulsion? (Look aft to see where this information has been cast.)

Can you identify the material found concealed between the component parts of the relic. The answer is encrypted in part two of the hint below!

This material is called ]"bnxhz"[ and is made from old bits of rope untwisted, picked into shreds, and tarred, for use in caulking the seams between planks, stopping up leaks, and sometimes in dressing wounds suffered aboard ship. The making of] bnxhz, [a tedious process, often served as a form of punishment.
