This is another cache that's about journey as much as it is about the destination.
To set the cache I parked here. N36° 07.911' W78° 49.589'. On the way in I took the high road: maximizing my elevation. On the way out I took the low road: minimizing my elevation. The former had less undergrowth and better sights. My total distance, including multiple excursions for exploration, was just over 4 miles. When I got there I met a fisherman that had kayaked his way in; so that's a possibility too.
You are looking for a looking for a 12-inch long PVC tube. It's hanging in plain sight. To access the log sheet, simply pull the pin from the bottom of the tube. There is no need to untie it from where it hangs. The dowell attached to the log sheet will help you spin it into a tight roll. Reinsert the log in the same orientation as you found it and replace the pin. There is no room for swag. Bring your own pen.

Note: This cache is on property owned by the City of Durham. Access is via the NC Game Lands. While placing the cache I did not encounter any signs restricting access; however some cachers, having taken a differerent route, reportedly encountering "No Trepassing" signs.
