Hidroelektrarno Fužine so leta 1897 pristavili kot prizidek mogočnega fužinskega gradu, s strani delniške družbe Leycam Josefsthal Vevče–Goričane–Medvode s sedežem v Gradcu in vsa ta desetletja nenehno proizvaja elektriko.
The Fužine hydroelectric power plant was built in 1897 as an extension of the mighty Fužine castle, by the company Leycam Josefsthal Vevče – Goričane – Medvode, based in Graz, and has been producing electricity continuously for all these decades. At that time, Fužine Castle had a plant for the production of semi-finished products of the paper industry, which was then moved to Vevče. The power plant, which is also a Ljubljana cultural monument, produces 2 MWh of electricity per day with a sufficient flow of water, which covers the paper mill for about a fifth of its needs and saves more than half a million euros a year.
