My family has enjoyed playing Mad Gab over the years. In this game, one person reads a seemingly nonsensical collection of words called a mondegreen. When the mondegreen is read quickly or with enough repetitions, it will start to sound similar to a common phrase or saying. For instance, “Ail Huck Each Arm” would sound like “A Lucky Charm”.
With the COVID pandemic still ongoing at the time this cache was placed, I wanted to provide an opportunity for others to connect and maybe share a laugh. While you can solve this puzzle cache on your own, I’d encourage you to call a fellow geocacher (or a muggle) and take turns reading off the mondegreens. Once you have determined all of the phrases, calculate the word value of each phrase, summed to one digit (I used this website). Then use those numbers to solve for the coordinates.
