Henry Eugène Delacroix livre à sa ville natale quatorze toiles classées en 1993 à l'inventaire départemental des objets mobiliers. Ces toiles représentent La vie familiale en trois tableaux, La vie agricole en cinq grandes toiles, Joies du paysan en trois tableaux, Vie du citoyen en trois toiles, et deux toiles complètent les panneaux d'angle. Ces toiles sont visibles dans la salle des mariages. Les autels et le chemin de croix de l’église St Martin sont également dus au peintre.
