Geocache Description:

Welcome to beautiful and historic John's Homestead Park, where one visit can now get you four smilies!  The loneliest cache in the park is "Pete the Python", so we decided to put out a friend to keep Pete company.  Meet Timmy!  But you'll have to find him first.  He's a little shy, so he's going to want to go right back in his hiding place after you've signed in.

This should be a quick and easy find, good for beginners.  Park hours are sunrise to sunset.  PLEASE avoid the temptation to make a bee-line up the hill where grass is trying to take hold.  Instead, take the trail for a short walk from the parking coordinates until you are as close as possible to the cache, then there's very short walk off the trail.  Warning: the hint is pretty much a spoiler.  There's a couple prizes for the first takers.  Bring your own pencil or pen.  And to keep it fun for everyone, if you must post a spoiler/container photo, please label it as such.

Timmy is a typical creature that you might find in this park.  From the Tucker Parks website about John's Homestead: "The forests, wetlands, and lakes support beaver, waterfowl, woodpeckers, owls, songbirds, a heron rookery, turtles and many fish species. The Audubon Society hosts occasional field trips to the park for bird-watching excursions."  So keep your eyes and ears open!

Trail Note:  At the time of publishing this geocache, there is construction blocking part of the trail to the south end of this park where the lakes are.  That doesn't affect this cache, but to access the lakes area and the "Suiker Koekje" cache, please drive around to Stapp Dr. and park at the gate.  You can get to the other two caches by following the trail from this parking area southwest and over the boardwalk.  Then turn right or north for "John's Homestead" and south for "Pete The Python".
