Across from where you are standing now used to be a row of hawker stands. They are gone now but one of them I will always remember because of the name, It was a barber shop callled Mat Salleh Barbers. The barber shop was always filled with locals waiting to get a hair cut. What is amuzing is that if you translate Mat Salleh to English, it is "Westerners". So the name of the barbershop was "Westerners Barbershop', but I only ever saw locals go to get their haircut there.
