CACHE BONUS
Le canal de la Siagne est un ouvrage à l’initiative de Lord Brougham, ancien chancelier d’Angleterre, construit entre 1866 et 1868 afin d’alimenter la ville de Cannes en eau. Depuis sa source de Saint Cézaire, il serpente en pente douce sur plus de 70km le long des coteaux de l’arrière-pays pour terminer sa course à Cannes au sommet de la Californie..
Le long de cette Promenade du belvédère que je vous invite à parcourir et découvrir sur un peu plus de 2,7km, le canal est souterrain. Alternativement, vous pourrez profiter de splendides vues sur la baie de Cannes et l’Estérel en arrière plan, mais aussi de sous-bois où se mêlent mimosas, agaves géants et eucalyptus, pour terminer en apothéose au belvédère avec une vue éblouissante de la pointe du Palm Beach et des Îles de Lérins.
Vous voilà arrivé au terme du parcours. Profitez de la vue qui s'offre à vous sur l'Ile Ste Marguerite et la baie de Cannes. De nuit, tout la magie des lumières fait son charme.

The Siagne Canal is a work on the initiative of Lord Brougham, former Chancellor of England, built between 1866 and 1868 to supply the city of Cannes with water. From its source in Saint Cézaire, it winds gently sloping for more than 70km along the slopes of the hinterland to finish its race in Cannes at the top of Californie.
Along this Belvedere Promenade that I invite you to walk and discover over a little over 2.7km, the canal is underground. Alternatively, you can enjoy splendid views over the bay of Cannes and the Estérel in the background, but also undergrowth where mimosas, giant agaves and eucalyptus mingle, to end in apotheosis at the belvedere with a dazzling view of the point from the Palm Beach and the Lérins Islands.
You have arrived at the end of the course. Enjoy the view that awaits you on the Ile Ste Marguerite and the bay of Cannes. At night, all the magic of the lights is its charm.
