Geocache Description:

Ship’s Log Date: February 29, 1929

“Tis  me final entry I am afraid, hence I address it to “All” in the hopes someone can prevail.

For this treasure, there is no need to bring a shovel or pail.

All hands ahoy me hearties! Me name is Capitain Nevada Jack.

I am a Pirate Captain of nefarious fame, and notorious plunder,

Me treasure is hidden deep down under.

Should you dare to seek it, don’t forget to look back,

else the waves will give yer pretty ass  a good smack.

I am a bit of a grog blossom, and running rum has been me game,

‘Til  them pietistic Protestants set me beloved ship aflame.

Them nasty bastards shut down the rum business that is quite clear,

but  jokes on them, the insurance money has now made me a filthy rich buccaneer.

If you want this treasure, listen closely to this story ye shall now hear.

Me time is rather near,

as them bloody prohibition privateers,

have finally caught up to me rear.

I shall soon be off to dance with ol’ Jack Ketch,

for those that don’t know, that be a noose around me neck and me feet down the hatch.

Can you believe, one of me own crew a real son of a biscuit eater,

was in fact the dirty swine who turned me in whilst I was taking a sheeter.

Even the most malevolent of pirates are bound to play fair with respect to the Pirate’s code,

but not this scurvy dog of a wench he was actually quite cold.

In hindsight I must admit, ‘twas probably a bit of me own messup,

too much ale I did get, whilst out cracking my good ol' Jenny’s teacup.

Without the right tools,

you will go back home the fool.

All the women love I,

am not sure quite why,

but this is no trick,

you'll need a nice stick.

To turn a tight screw,

you'll need one or two.

No muggly swine shall recover me hidden jewels so easily,

a variety of proper lights are required to make your way much more pleasingly.

An old salt like me, does plan ahead,

and fearing the worst I always stowed away a bit under me bed.

Me plunder is found in various locales,

but thy mother lode is hidden near here if you know hows.

As you be reading this tale tis your lucky day,

hoist the main sail, and anchors away!

Don’t worry, don’t fret, the directions are all here,

it should take you no longer than a pitcher of good local (IPA) beer.

There be some pieces of eight hidden in place that’s not dull,

the booty is hidden in a place known as  “The Crypt of the Green Skull”.

When you see the green pirate skull head,

you will either have me treasure in hand, or be stricken quite dead.

I hid it last month on the lowest of tides,

for old king Neptune is the guardian of all decent pirate hides.

determine the right date,

lest your quest will end in a frustrated fate.

‘Tis truly a dangerous venture, and thee must heed me strong words:

Without proper planning,

the experience will not be quite so enchanting,

without good timing don’t venture for riches,

else you’ll be wetting your own dirty britches.

Ye must discover me treasure map, and be sure to read it all,

you don't want to get trapped or take a good fall.

The size of the treasure is squat and compact, bring only small booty,

be sure to re-hide quite carefully, do not neglect your piratey duty.

Be cautious, be wary, pirates like to play pranks,

Deny them their mirth, and don't venture down any wrong planks.

Start your adventure at the coordinates above,

be on the mark and you will find me lost love.

Venture south west 11 nautical miles minus just a bit,

don't fret and complain or throw a darn fit.

Ye need to be smart and follow your nose,

south west that be 225 degrees azimuth on me trusty compass rose.

For strange as it be, this sunken bauble shares the same name as an old wench I once met,

to the start of the key, add their fine name, then one step closer to treasure you'll get.

The key is right here, hidden in plain sight,

you just have to see the blimey thing, see it just right.

With regards to the code, if thee does get stuck,

revisit the advice from Ol' Professor Chuck,

Chuck Teribear that is.

I am sure he shall bring you nothing but good luck.

However with that said, his words will be quite useless on round two,

for that you will need to give me story written here, a darn good review.

One final warning: remember to batten down the hatches you bilge sucking dawgs, dead men tell no tales. (Translation: Make sure to bring all referred to herein treasure hunting gear and proper adventure attire)

So splice the mainbrace! Find me plunder and enjoy a great adventure!

Adieu,

Jack
