Coast of Lajinha
Niquetjes has been visiting the Azores every year since 2014. Once you've been to an island, you keep coming back and want to visit more islands. Every island is different.
Faial is the island where Niquetjes has been most times for a longer period of time. And on this island there is still enough space to place a nice trail with caches and to share with the Geo-cache world.
Going out with friend Zoeklopers to put a beautiful area on the map is already a very nice activity.
We walk along the impressive rocky coast of Lajinha. You will be amazed at how beautiful the coastline is with the many rocks, striking lava arches and the caves that were formed during the creation of the island. If you look closely you can sometimes still see the lava flows, what a force of nature this must have been.
The caches can only be visited by foot close to the coastline over the rocks and small paths. This way you discover all the beautiful natural elements that this coast offers.
You park the car at the Parking lot, which is located between Lajinha 1 and 2. From there you can continue on foot. You have to go a short distance along the road, be careful here and then you continue via the rocks. Put on sturdy shoes and enjoy these beautiful natural phenomena.The walk there and back is approximately 5 km.

Costa da Lajinha
Niquetjes visita os Açores todos os anos desde 2014. Depois de visitar uma ilha, você sempre volta e quer visitar mais ilhas. Cada ilha é diferente.
O Faial é a ilha onde Niquetjes se encontra mais vezes há mais tempo. E nesta ilha ainda há espaço suficiente para colocar uma bela trilha com caches e compartilhar com o mundo Geo-cache.
Sair com amigo Zoeklopers para colocar uma bela área no mapa já é uma atividade muito agradavel.
Caminhamos ao longo da impressionante costa rochosa de Lajinha e Ponta Furada. Você ficará surpreso com a beleza do litoral, com muitas rochas, arcos de lava impressionantes e cavernas que se formaram durante a criação da ilha. Se você olhar de perto, às vezes ainda pode ver os fluxos de lava, que força da natureza deve ter sido.
Os caches só podem ser visitados a pé junto à costa atraves as rochas e pequenos caminhos. Descubra assim todos os belos elementos naturais que esta costa oferece.
Você estaciona o carro no estacionamento, que está localizado entre a Lajinha 1 e 2. De lá, você pode continuar a pé. Você tem que percorrer uma curta distância ao longo da estrada, tome cuidado aqui e depois continue pelas pedras. Calce sapatos resistentes e desfrute destes belos fenômenos naturais.
A caminhada total de ida e volta é de aproximadamente 5 km.
