9,288 kilometres...
8 time zones...
and 1 geocache...
This is the longest geocache in the world. You will travel from Moskva to Vladivostok. This geocache is only for really travelling cachers.
Before travelling:
In advance (if you go with someone for up to several weeks). If you want to stop somewhere, do not buy a ticket for the entire section. (For example, if I want to stop in Omsk, I will buy tickets for the sections Moscow-Omsk and Omsk-Vladivostok. There is a seat reservation for trains. It is possible that if you buy a ticket on the day of departure, the train will be sold out.
There are 3 classes. Outlets and televisions are located in first class only. There is no WI-FI and air conditioning in the trains.
If you don't like looking at the landscape from the train, take a book with you (mystery caches are also good :).
Cache
Don't search cache at the posted coordinates or stages! I made only 2 Stages, so you don't have to leave the train and travel the whole route in one go, but I still recommend visiting individual cities. They are beautiful!
1. Stage: Moskva
You are at monument "0 km." How many tracks end in close proximity to the monument? = A
2. Stage: Vladivostok
You are in front of locomotive. There is number BCDE.
Geocache
The geocache is hidden at:
N (E-A)(E-B)° (C-B+D)(B*A).(A/A+E)(A/A-D)(B+C)
E (E+C+A*A)(E-C+D-A)° (B+A)(E/B).(E-B+D)(E-C+A)(D*D+E)
Do not multiply the brackets.
First time I wanted to hide this cache to view to Pacific Ocean, but I haven't found any good place...
I hope you enjoy this trip! There is so many thinks to do in Vladivostok.
If you have something in your mind, write a note. If you thing you have wrong coordinates, or just want to verify them, contact me via my E-mail on my profile. I will always try to answer as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!
And that would be the end. I hope you enjoy this adventure! New advetures soon...
