A continuation of First Wednesday events in Montgomery County. The owners and locations of future events may be changed to protect the innocent.
Join Washington area geocachers every First Wednesday (ish) of each month. We'll talk about Geocaching, upcoming events, solve puzzles, trade bugs & coins and share stories from the field.
All are welcome to this family friendly event. It doesn't matter if you have found 50, 1000 or even 0 geocaches, we typically have attendees of all experience levels. We love to see people who are new to geocaching and looking to further explore their new-found hobby. We also enjoy meeting out-of-town geocachers who happen to be in the area, don't feel like this is locals only. If you're in town visiting family or on business, please join us!
In order to allow for adequate social distancing, this event will be held OUTSIDE the Bauer Recreation Center in Rockville from 5pm until ~6pm at 14625 Bauer Dr, Rockville, MD 20853. We recognize the start time is very early for those of us who work normal business hours but we've selected this time in consideration of the end of daylight savings and the chillier temperatures. Please feel free to arrive late and stay later. The COs will stay as long as people want to stay and the weather allows.
PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING:
- Your mask. In consideration of others, we ask that you wear a mask at all times while seated at the event
- Chair. There is no permanent seating so in order to be comfortable, please bring a chair or something to sit on
- Pen. We plan to have a logbook but please bring your own pen
- Food (optional). There are several good dining establishments across the street should you wish to eat before, during or after the event
There are public bathrooms available in the Safeway across the street should you need them.
