Geocache Description:

Belton

The churchyard gateway, boundary wall, railings and War Memorial are all Grade II listed, having achieved the status on 21 September 1979. The wall dates from the early C18th, with the railings and gate added in the mid C19th, before the War Memorial was installed in 1920. Opposite the War Memorial on one of the village notice boards is the known history of each man listed on the memorial, which was done by the villagers of Belton as their small contribution to the centenary celebrations of WWI.
