We are very happy to host the Third Annual CITO event on the Mainland Common Loop Trail in cooperation with the Halifax North West Trails Association. This will be light maintenance on one of their trails, a 1 km loop.
Our tasks will consist of raking and spreading new wood chips over the trail.
The event is expected to take two hours.
The schedule:
9:15 am - Meet at parking lot, sign log book, and get ready
9:30 am - Maintenance starts
11:30 am - Maintenance anticipated to be done
Provided:
- Some rakes
- Wood chips in bags (easy enough to carry)
- One wheelbarrow
Geocachers please bring:
- Proper work clothing that you won't mind getting dirty
- Work gloves
- Work boots or hiking boots
- For the ambitious only - Extra rakes for yourself or others, if you have them
- For the extra ambitious - Extra wheelbarrow, if you have one
