A Barragem da Boavista localiza-se na Ribeira do Monte dos Monchões, em plena Bacia Hidrográfica do Guadiana.
Duas barragens (Monte dos Clérigos e Boavista) foram construídas para fins agrícolas, mas que passaram a abastecer a vila. A extração maior provinha da barragem de Boavista.

The Boavista lake is situated in the Ribeira do Monte dos Monchões, within the hydrographic Guadiana's basin.
Two lakes were build (Monte dos Clérigos and Boavista) for agricultural purposes, but who ended up suppliyng the town. The greatest extraction came from the Boavista

Faz parte de um pequeno circuito circular de 5 caches à volta da barragem. Parte do percurso pode ser feito de carro, a outra parte recomenda-se ir a pé ou de bicicleta.

It is part of a small circular circuit of 5 caches around the lake. Part of the route can be done by car, the other part is recommended to go on foot or by bicycle.
