A series of 19 caches plus a Bonus around the village of Leigh (pronounced "Lie"), featuring fun and customised birdhouses to find. The route is approx. 3.7 miles, so allow up to half a day, depending on group size and speed. The paths are mostly across farmlands and are established rights of way – no need for any bushwhacking. The paths are muddy in winter or after rain – definite wellies or walking boots ! Tweezers (or similar) will be useful for extracting logs.
A waypoint for Parking is provided at LBH1 (Leigh Birdhouse Hunt) - A buzzy start. There’s a pub in the village, plus other pubs and shops in the surrounding villages a short drive away.
This cache is not at the published coordinates - you need to have gathered information from the rest of the LBH series to be able to decode the location of this bonus cache.
The cache is at
N51 12.ABC W000 14.DEF
Watch out for the barbed wire.
My thanks to Steve for the inspiration and help in devising this series.
