On September 23rd 2011 - stuarthowe11 signed up to geocaching, having aquired a blackberry phone with a GPS module. September 24th 2011 - his first cache was found ( GC25PPY - just outside Loughborough University )
Having cached now in 3 continents, including visiting America in 2015, hosting various events over the years - I applied for a celebration event to celebrate not only caching, but a unique aspect of it - SideTracked Caching
by the time this event is hosted - stuarthowe11 will have found over 1,500 SideTracked caches and placed over 100 ! making him the #1 finder and #hider across the series
10 years and over 13,000 finds later - here we are ! a celebration event - at a place both me and the kids enjoy coming to !
I've also arranged for the first 20 people to indicate they will be attending to have a *FREE* ride on the Evesham Vale Light Railway ( limit of 2 per caching account ) and a discounted rate is possible after these are all gone as well. Tickets will be issued on the day as you sign the log book
There is NO Charge for attending the event - you can if you wish pay for a ride on the train which will be running from 1030 - 1600
This event will start at 1130hrs and finish at 1430hrs - please drop in and out, there is caching opportunities in the area - Evesham is 10 minutes drive away. if you have not already found it - SideTracked #1 - Evesham is there to be found
I have also hired the Railway Hut on Platform 2 which is where the log book for attending will be placed - signage will show you the way.
We are also hoping to have a special train with Community Event Headboard as well to steam down to Evesham Vale Station - where a caching opportunity is possible as well
A limited edition SideTracked Series Celebration Event Wood Coin will be issued to all attendees free of charge
SideTracked trackables and caches will be on sale - a light buffet of (British Rail) snacks will be provided - crisps, nibbles, maybe a small slice of cake as well
A raffle will be held - tickets will be 20p each and all proceeds will be donated to the West Mids Mega 2022. Raffle to be drawn at 1300hrs
