Pouco se sabe sobre a história desta casa em local tão ermo.
Descobrimos este local, quase por mero acaso. No decurso do reconhecimento e mapeamento do PR11-MAC-ROTAS DAS MATAS, integrado nas ROTAS DE Mação, juntamos uma pequena equipa de 12 pessoas para vir conhecer estes territórios.
Segundo os membros locais que nos acompanhavam, esta casa teria pertencido a uma familia chamada Morgado. Servia de residencia principal aos donos dos terrenos em redor, outrora férteis.
Com a morte do Patrono da familia, tudo ficou ao abandono.
Do que se conta, os atuais herdeiros vivem na zona de Proênça-a-Nova.
Ficou também conhecida pela casa do Zé da Mó. Um velho ermita que por aqui pernoitou durante muitos anos, rumando um dia a outros territórios, perdendo-se o seu rasto...
É uma visão maravilhosa sobre a Foz do Ocreza e a sua chegada ao Tejo.
Igualmente no sopé da montanha, a Linha da Beira-Baixa, por aqui passa.

Little is known about the history of this house in such a deserted place.
We discovered this place, almost by chance. During the recognition and mapping of the PR11-MAC-ROTAS DAS MATAS, integrated in the ROTAS OF Mação, we gathered a small team of 12 people to come and discover these territories.
According to the local members who accompanied us, this house would have belonged to a family called Morgado. It served as the main residence for the owners of the surrounding land, once fertile.
With the death of the patron of the family, everything was abandoned.
From what is said, the current heirs live in the Proençaça-a-Nova area.
It was also known for Zé da Mó's house. An old hermitage that spent the night here for many years, heading one day to other territories, losing track ...
It is a wonderful view of Foz do Ocreza and its arrival in the Tagus.
Also at the foot of the mountain, the Beira-Baixa Line, passes through here.
