Neste local pode observar-se um meandro que se está a desenvolver atualmente, junto ao Moinho do Lercas.
A água na ribeira escoa, no geral, de norte para sul, quando é obrigada a mudar de direção, para NE-SW, dada a dureza da sucessão de bancadas de metagrauvaques, consequência, da sua composição mais siliciosa e da sua maior espessura.
Esta alteração da direção de fluxo da corrente de água tem como consequência a diminuição da sua velocidade, que obriga à acumulação dos sedimentos arenosos mais grosseiros que estavam a ser transportados na vertente do lado oposto à barreira. Esta situação gera um terraço atual com geometria lenticular, que vai continuando a crescer ao longo do tempo.

In this place you can see a meander that is currently developing, next to Moinho do Lercas.
The water in the stream flows, in general, from north to south, when it is forced to change direction, to NE-SW, given the hardness of the succession of metagrauvaks benches, consequence of its more siliceous composition and its greater thickness.
This change in the direction of flow of the water stream has the consequence of decreasing its speed, which requires the accumulation of the coarser sandy sediments that were being transported on the side opposite the barrier. This situation generates a current terrace with lenticular geometry, which continues to grow over time.
