FLOAT YOUR BOAT 8
Hello and welcome to the 8th year of this event
Here is the information you need to know:
DATE: September 26th 2020
TIME: 7:30AM - 8:30AM
PLACE: Along the Illinois River
IF YOU PLAN TO FLOAT PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION

- New caches will be placed for this trip
- We will shuffle cars to the takeout point at 9:00 am
- We will start putting in the water by 10:00 am
- The distance is 6 miles and we should be done by 4:00 and 5:00 pm (Could be sooner)
- Logbook Signing at the event 7:30 am to 8:30 am
- ALL DNR Rules apply
- You no longer need water usage stamps on any IDNR managed rivers
- No Inflatables please
- Bring whatever you need to make this trip enjoyable (Breakfast, Lunch, Water)
- Bring sunscreen just in case the sun is out
- The event and float will happen Rain or Shine (Unless there is lightning)
- A link to the GPX file will be announced when it's ready

COVID-19:
During this event please wear face-covering unless eating and maintain a six-foot separation from anyone you do not live with. Bring hand sanitizer if you need it but I will also bring some to share if needed.
Face masks and social distancing guidelines are subject to modification based upon current local and/or state guidelines. We're seeing a rise in cases so pray we don't have to cancel the event again.
