The Sun Chariot is probably the greatest treasure from the Bronze Age. It is not known why it was buried at this place approx. 1400 years before Christ. After resting here for more than 3000 years, it was found in 1902 by a farmer while plowing in the area. He took the figure home and let his children play with it before it was handed to the National Museum. In 1998, there was a new excavation at the site, and researchers found several small pieces which they managed to put in place on the Sun Chariot.

When you look at the Sun Chariot, you can see that one side is light and the other side is dark. This was interpreted that the light side symbolizes the day and the dark side the night. It is well known that ancient people worshipped the sun like a god because the sun gave life.

There have been several hypotheses about how this faith should be interpreted. In 2006 I participated in my acquaintance archaeologist Flemming Kaul's exciting doctoral dissertation on the sun's journey through the sky. He had studied the symbols on countless razor blades from that time as well as petroglyphs. I was deeply fascinated by what he said that day.
