Voie navigable sur 39 km qui relie le canal de la Deûle (à Bauvin) à la Lys et au canal de Neufossé (à Aire-sur-la-Lys). Le canal a été mis en service en 1825 et traversait jadis Béthune. C'est un canal à grand Gabarit.
