L'église primitive était placée sous le vocable de Saint-Rémi. Les parties les plus anciennes (nef, fenêtres romanes) datent du XIème siècle. Elle fut restaurée au XIXème siècle. Un vitrail de 1850 représente Saint-Roch.

Etape 3 : Le Chêne de la Liberté
Un Arbre de la Liberté est, à l’époque de la Révolution, l’un des symboles de la liberté fraîchement acquise. Planté en général dans l’endroit le plus fréquenté d’une localité comme signe de joie et symbole d’affranchissement, cet arbre devait grandir avec les institutions nouvelles. Planté en 1790, le chêne de Saint-Roch mourut en 2009. Avec la volonté de conserver ce symbole de la commune, les artistes Jean Vindras et Fodé Bayot le sculptèrent pour en faire une oeuvre d'art.

A Tree of Liberty was one of the symbols of newly acquired freedom during the Revolution. Generally planted in the most frequented place in a locality as a sign of joy and symbol of liberation, this tree was to grow with the new institutions. Planted in 1790, the oak of Saint-Roch died in 2009. With the will to preserve this symbol of the town, the artists Jean Vindras and Fodé Bayot sculpted it to make it a work of art.
