SLO: Hradeckega most je namenjen pešcem in kolesarjem. Most je bil prvotno postavljen na lokaciji sedanjega Šuštarskega mostu, leta 1931 pa ga je arhitekt Jože Plečnik prestavil na lokacijo v Moste v bližino mrtvašnice, kjer se ga je prijelo ime Mrtvaški most. Takrat so bile mostu dodane piramide s svetilkami. Leta 2009 so most odstranili, začeli s prenovo in leta 2011 postavili na sedanjo lokacijo, kjer povezuje Prule in Trnovo.
Ta prvi litoželezni most na ozemlju Slovenije so postavili leta 1867, skoraj devetdeset let po prvem podobnem mostu, ki so ga postavili v Angliji (čez reko Severn). Most je imenovan po tedanjem ljubljanskem županu Janezu Hradeckem. Most je nadomestil star leseni most, ki je premoščal Ljubljanico med starim in novim trgom.
Hradeckega most z razponom 33 metrov je načrtoval dunajski nadinženir Johann Hermann, ulili pa so ga v znameniti Auerspergovi livarni na Dvoru pri Žužemberku. Konstrukcijsko je most sestavljen iz treh lokov, ki so premično vpeti med bregova in se stikajo v členku na sredini. Tovarniško narejeni litoželezni palični elementi trikotne oblike so medsebojno spojeni z vijaki. Ob otvoritvi je požel splošno priznanje in odlične ocene strokovnih krogov.
ENG: Hradeckega bridge is for pedestrians and cyclists. The bridge was originally erected at the site of current Šuštarski (Shoemakers) bridge. In 1931 architect Jožef Plečnik relocated the bridge to a new location in Moste – to the vicinity of morgue, where it has gotten the name the Bridge of Death. At that time the pyramids with lamps were added on the bridge. In 2009, the bridge was removed and the renovation began. Finally in 2011 the bridge was erected on its current location where it connects Prule and Trnovo.
This iron cast bridge, first of its kind in Slovenia, was built in 1867, almost ninety years after first similar bridge was built in England (over river Severn). It was named after actual mayor of Ljubljana, Janez Hradecki. Bridge replaced the old wooden bridge which connected the old and new market/square.
Hradeckega bridge with a span of 33 meters was planned by senior engineer from Vienna - Johann Hermann, and it was casted in a famous Auersperg foundry in Dvor near Žužemberk. The bridge consists of three arches, which are clamped between banks and are tied together in the middle. Factory-made triangular shapediron cast elements are joined together with screws. At the opening, the bridge got excellent reviews and recognition of professional experts.
