I have been meaning to place some caches for awhile now and with the present circumstances I found myself with way too much time on my hands. Decided to get out and fit a few more into the greater Hillside Woods area. I have walked these trails a lot and always wondered why there wasn't a cache here on this connector trail. The trailhead begins at the corner of Chancey Lane and South Drive where Chancey turns into Farlane. For a nice loop hike you can park along Chauncey Lane by Reynolds Field and follow the Chemka Pool Trail up through to Hillside Woods proper, tour around there and head back.
You could also park by Chemka Pool and the tennis courts and access it from there too if so desired depending on how much time you have. As for the cache, you are looking for a small black lock n' lock container hidden not too far off the trail. Beware of walking muggles when the weather is nice. The logbook is inside a waterproof matchstick container inside the lock n' lock. A few pencils are provided but it is always advisable to bring your own pen/writing implement. The cache may be harder after a large snowfall so keep that in mind if attempting after such an event.
