The Cache
Welcome to another in the GSM series. This is a single-stage multi in West Croydon. At the posted coordinates you will see a sign with two ways of getting GZ. MJ McInerney was President of the West Croydon & Kilkenny RSL from ABCD to EFGH.
GZ is located nearby at:
S34 53.HG(D-C)
E138 33.ADE
Decimal minutes checksum: 9 + 8 = 17
Alternatively, a small black disc on the back of the sign has the coordinates for GZ.
You will need to be stealthy at GZ, a yellow shirt and a string of tennis balls over your shoulder may help you blend in. Also, watch your head. No seriously, be careful. When returning the cache, just let it drop in, don't push it.
The Location
MJ McInerney Reserve was purchased from the Engineering & Water Supply Department in 1945. It had been used to supply clay for the construction of water pipes and the resulting pughole provided an opportunity for rubbish disposal. The pughole was filled and the land became a recreational reserve in 1955. A recent upgrade has given a breath of fresh air to this park, which is very popular day and night.
