RAIN DATE: SUNDAY, JUNE 13, 2021 11:30PM TO 2:00PM
We have lots to celebrate after twenty plus one years of geocaching in the universe! A trackable on Mars, a cache on the International Space Station, and a sport/game/hobby that not only survived, but thrived during the pandemic of 2020/21! So come on out, bring your own "Plus One" (or more) and enjoy sharing geo-tall-tales, trackables, and, of course food!
We plan to meet, greet, and eat at the outdoors picnic area farthest from parking. There are three distinct picnic areas, none are far from parking, and each has several picnic tables and grills. Look for a Delaware geocaching "Welcome" sign (in case we need to move to another area--they cannot be reserved). Found4Life and I will bring charcoal, lighter fuel, paper plates, hot dogs, buns, and condiments. Please bring your own meat (if you don't want a hot dog), a side dish, chips, salad, dessert or drinks to share. Come prepared to tell your wildest geocaching story, your funniest geocaching story, or your most moving geocaching story to the group--oral or written! Votes will be taken and a winner will be awarded in each category.
Prizes awarded for cacher coming from farthest away, cacher who found their first cache in 2000, and cacher who made their first find in 2021. Prizes will be worth celebrating! Hoping to have some new caches publishing; attendees will get a heads up on GZ at the end of the event.
Bring your own camp chairs if you want, and plan to enjoy the playground, and a stroll along the banks of the creek while your family is here. Bug repellent recommended.
We will be complying with all current Covid-19 State of Emergency mandates of the State of Delaware in effect as of the event date. 29TH MODIFICATION TOOK PLACE MAY 21, 2021. No masks or social distancing is required for fully vaccinated individuals. https://governor.delaware.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/24/2021/05/29th-Modification-of-the-Declaration-of-a-SOE-State-of-Delaware-051821.pdf Hand sanitizer will be provided.
