A Rake's Progress is a series of mystery caches which takes you in a loop and should require approximately 2 hours to complete. At the top of the log books for the first 7 caches you will find one or two bonus letters; you will need to combine these letters in order to solve the 8th and final cache in the series. This series can be solved in any order but to follow the story and to be in the right position for the final find I would recommend doing them sequentially. You can solve all of the first seven puzzles from home but they are designed to be doable as you walk around.
On each cache page in the series you will find a message and a sketch from your esteemed friend William along with a puzzle to solve, all of which were left behind at the at the previous site. Everything you need to find the first container is found below...

"Dear Friend,
I’m writing to you as I know you’re someone I can rely on in a time of need. I wouldn’t be doing this if I thought there was any alternative.
My young nephew Thomas Rakewell looks like he’s going off the rails and you’re the only person I can think of who might be able to save him. Since the death of my brother-in-law he seems to have completely lost his moral compass and all his good sense. Tom has abandoned his betrothed Sarah Young and simply follows his own indulgences wherever they may take him. Having inherited all of the wealth that his father was so careful to save he can’t seem to spend it fast enough. If he carries on this way who knows how he’ll end up, so I’m relying on you to talk some sense into him. Firstly however you’ll have to track him down. I’ve sketched out a picture of where I last saw him over at his father’s house in Chiswick. I’m sure you’ll know where to go after looking at it.
Yours,
Wiliam."
