Geocache Description:

This cache is the first of a series of fifty caches hidden in the southern side of Kings Wood. All are placed in accordance with the formal Landowner agreement between Geocaching and the Forestry Commission. As part of that agreement all caches has been placed either on the path, or not more than a step or two off of the paths. Please follow the paths from cache to cache and do not go marching through the trees

You can’t mistake where the paths go – after the third cache all paths are at least two yards wide at the narrowest point up until the last cache

There is potential to go wrong between caches 45 and 46 - we have added a waypoint so you don't go wrong

NO CACHES ARE AT THE POSTED CO-ORDINATES. DO NOT GO THERE

Each cache (except the Wherigos) are found by solving a simple puzzle

Each cache description (except the Wherigo) tells you that puzzle

Sorry if you don’t like puzzles

The Wherigos

(if you are going to do them...)

Play Groundhog Day and Rock Scissors Paper before you leave the car park to start the walk. Make a note of the final co-ords and get the caches as you walk round.

Start A Conundrum once you've passed cache #37 and complete this one and find the final before moving on.

When you’ve finished the Conundrum and found the cache start The GeoDooDah and play it as you carry on the walk. The final is a few caches further on

Most of the caches are pots big enough for small stuff but the ones at 22 and 46 are bigger than the others

And so for this cache…

Can you believe the car park has a phone number? It is ABAA ACD EFAA

This cache is at

North F (F/F) (F/F)(C/B) . C A C

East AAA FE . E (C/B) B

A word about co-ordinates

(if I may...)

We've measured the co-ords of each cache several times on three seperate occasions using two different devices.

If you feel the co-ordinates of any of the caches are a tad awry please have a look at the previous logs.

If others say the co-ords are out, please send us your co-ords so we can update.

If others say the co-ords are good then just maybe your GPS might need a tweak?

The landowner (Forestry Commission East England) does not assess the suitability or safety of the cache location. The cache placer and the cache finder have a responsibility to take reasonable precautions to protect their own safety and the safety of others. Hazards observed at or on route to the cache location should be reported to the cache owner. The Cache has been placed in accordance with the Forestry Commission East England agreement
