Welcome to Silvervale Falls!!! This waterfall cascades approximately 80 feet from top to bottom. The falls are beside the road, so no hiking required. I recommend following 321N from Lenoir and turning left at the New Patterson Fire Dept. onto Waterfalls Road. This will take you downhill, paralleling 321. The falls will be on the left. There is parking for maybe three cars. You can follow the road down the mountain to a church. Turn left onto Kirby Mountain Road, and it will lead you back to 321. Please do not attempt this cache from 321. There is no parking and the terrain is too steep. After admiring the falls and taking pics, it's time to find the cache. You are looking for a very small black container. No room for swag, and BYOP!! The cache is on the safer side of the road, just up the road about 50 feet from the base of the waterfall. It should be resting inside the uppermost guardian. You will not need to get wet. Please check the hint. Pictures of yourself at the falls would be nice.
