La Marmite des Korrigans de Scorfel
La vallée des Traouiéro est un lieu de légendes où korrigans et fardets profitent de l'énergie tellurique. Le petit dragon Scorfel s'y cache dans le dédale chaotique des grottes de granite rose. Le kérougant est le cours d'eau sinueux qui sépare Trégastel de Perros-guirec. Il serpente dans la vallée et nourrie une végétation rare et magnifique telle l'osmonde royale ! Chaque saison fait découvrir une nature époustouflante et luxuriante autour du fameux chène-chataignier.
La roche dominante est le granite rose dont les gros blocs semblent parfois tenir en équilibre comme par miracle. L'érosion s'exprime avec force ici, le kérougant a creusé sur la roche un sillon bien sinueux. Par endroit, ce sont des formes dites de marmites qui sont apparues. Au départ, dans le lit du court d'eau, des galets se logent dans un creux. Le courant de l'eau et ses mouvements circulaires va accentuer ce creux par frottement des galets sur la roche friable. Les marmites se forment généralement dans des boucliers composés de roches anciennes ayant des résistances faibles à l'érosion. Les mouvements de rotation de l'eau rejettent les petits fragments friables hors du puit. Ils peuvent creuser avec le temps et l'érosion progressive des marmites profondes. Le niveau du court d'eau diminuant, il laisse apparaitre ces formes surprenantes.
Certains korrigans font encore circuler la rumeur, au sujet des irrégularités de reliefs initiaux dans le lit du Kerougant, qu'il s'agirait des empreintes de Scorfel sur la roche ... Le petit dragon plantait souvent ses griffes dans le granite lorsqu'il tétait les vaches en les maintenant de ses ailes ... Mais sans doute étais-ce une rumeur de karrigans farceur !
Note en Post Scriptum : L'un des plus célébres des Korrigans farceurs ne disait-il pas : "... Et pourquoi y a-t-il du fer dans l'eau ferru ferrugineuse, hum ? The Pot of Scorfel's Korrigans
