Shire Brook Spring Clean Cache In Trash Out Event

This cache has been archived.

Workyticket: As the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve, there have been increased directives and recommendations from government and health authorities emphasizing that unnecessary events, gatherings and group activities be avoided, cancelled and/or rescheduled.

The UK Review Team have agreed that the geocaching community - as a smaller part of the global community - would not be best served with Events/CITOs that promote social gatherings at a time when social distancing is emphasized to be a key factor in the control of COVID-19.

In consideration of social distancing, the UK Reviewers have decided to archive all events/CITOs happening in a rolling month until such time as social distancing guidelines are rescinded. We will review the situation again in a couple of weeks. This notice is therefore to advise that this Event/CITO page is (regrettably) being archived and locked.

If this is a Community Celebration event, it is being retracted so that you can resubmit it once it is possible to continue with events.

In respect of the current situation, UK Review team will not be publishing Events/CITOs until further notice.

Please refer to the [UK Wiki] (https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/United+Kingdom) and the Reviewers Tea Bar on Facebook for notices and latest updates.

Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
UK Reviewers

Geocache Description:

22 March 2020, 10:00 - 12:30

Once again it's the time of year when we have a Spring clean and earn a souvenir. Last year we had a successful tidy up around Linley Bank, so we're moving along to another part of the nature reserve that could do with a bit of TLC. Litter-pickers, bags and gloves will be provided; just bring appropriate clothing. There will be hot drinks and some snacks too. Don't worry if 10.00 on a Sunday morning is too early for you - any help will be appreciated, so just come when you're ready. If you've not been before there are lots of caches to find in the valley. There is a car park off Stone Lane, but if you don't want to walk too far the entrance from Spa Lane is nearer the location of the CITO.
