Geocache Description:

15 February 2020, 09:00 - 11:00

A nice quiet sitdown in the park for the puzzling minds: come discuss, solve, learn, and interact with puzzles and the geocaching community! Perhaps you are maybe even a puzzler CO and want to watch people work through your layers of meaning and interconnectedness. Perhaps you are new to the area and want to get to know the puzzling crowd. Or, perhaps there's one puzzle that's been driving you mad. Hopefully this event will be able to help you with that (I may even drop some hints if you want about some of my puzzles)!

I would advise printing out any puzzles that you can and bringing ample scrap paper and writing utensils. I will have my phone for a hotspot (don't worry, I have unlimited data), but this may only handle a few extra computers. Others may bring hotspots as well and then everyone can share in the joy. I will personally bring my laptop to search for caches online. Feel free to bring yours as well, fully charged. I would advise bringing some light snacks as there are not many food establishments nearby. I choose this area solely for the scenic view of the river and the Manhattan Skyline, and its proximity to the newly created Pier 3 Greenspace (Which is amazing). Depending on the turnout of these puzzle events I plan to host, future events may change locations to be accommodating to a larger number of people.

We we meet in the open stone area near the head of Pier 3 in Brooklyn. There are bright-colored picnic tables there most of the time. I will monitor the area prior to the event to make sure the sitting space is unchanged as the event draws near. The rain date for the event would be the following day 2/16 (Or perhaps later in the day, depending on when the sun decides to show its warmth. Expect the event to last for two hours, but this is very loose and may be more or less depending on how many people show up, individual schedules, and whether people are having a good time. Attached below is a link to a map of the area, with this meeting taking place on the "Granite Terrace"

Cheers and hope to see you there!
