Maattmoo's Weekly(ish) Wintery Wonder...
Most weeks I will have a mini meet with a wonderful (possibly) fact or event that happened on this day in history somewhere as the event title.
Join me in the Lost Sheep Coffee Shop, within Ashford Outlet Centre, for a hot drink and maybe some breakfast if you wish, before I head out for a nearby walk...
This is a series of meets to get me (and hopefully some of you) up and out on my days off over the cold and Wintery period where it is so easy to stay at home...
I am hosting some events as I have enjoyed doing so through autumn and wanted to continue in Winter... Why not hey?

And today's wonder... today is Groundhog Day. It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerging from its burrow on this day sees its shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat and winter will persist for six more weeks, and if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early.!
Fingers crossed for a cloudy (but not rainy) day then...
