Join myself and The Wandle Trust to clear rubbish and invasive species from the River Wandle
Once again it's time to join myself the volunteers from the Wandle Trust in the River Wandle for a fun game of find the most ridiculous item dumped in the river.
Location: Poulter Park, Carlshalton. You will find a Wandle trust event tent set up at GZ.
At our Cleanups, you will be joining a team of friendly volunteers to find and remove rubbish from the river. You can borrow a pair of our waders and get in the river, or help us pull up rubbish from the banks.
Notes: Tea, coffee and cake is provided but please bring your own lunch. Waders are provided but if you're not planning on getting in the water please wear sturdy shoes as the banks can be slippery. Make sure you dress appropriately for the weather and choose old clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
Public transport to the meeting spot is via the Mitcham Junction Tram stop.
There is plenty of free parking in nearby streets.
