Welcome to the 150th, yes 150th, Hampshire Monthly Mid-Week Cache Event. This is also the Hampshire Geocachers 2022 Annual Christmas Meet but in a break from festive tradition is being held at The Red Lion in central Petersfield
The Red Lion |
3 College Street |
Petersfield |
Hampshire |
GU31 4AE |
The Red Lion in addition to being from the days of the London to Portsmouth stage coach is one of the oldest pubs in Petersfield and is from a well known chain boasting extreme carpets and as such has an abundance of food and drink options at very reasonable prices
In another break from festive tradiiton, there is ample parking available !!! The Festival Hall car park is adjacent to The Red Lion accessed from Heath Road, parking is free after 6pm.
If approaching from the south turn right just before The Red Lion and opposite the High Street and War Memorial into Heath Road, from the north turn left, be aware its a one way street you want the northerly spur of the two between the pub and the Turkish barbers
I understand the shopping for prizes for the Hampshire bumper Festive Raffle has already started and hopefully whoever has the treasure chest will bring it along so it is available for swapping and discovering Geocoins and Travel Bugs
There will be plenty of opportunity to exchange caching stories and prise hints out of fellow cachers about the local puzzles, so please do come along and celebrate the festive season with caching friends old and new.
If you have not been to an event cache before, would like to experience something different, and have the chance to meet other cachers then please come along.
You can be assured of a warm welcome, officially we will be there from 6.30pm until 9.30pm but there are always early birds and late finishers!
With thanks to Mario McTavish for allowing the adoption of his Community Celebration Event for this meet
