What could be better than this date specially designed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of geocaching in the great outdoors. I therefore suggest that you meet us for a giant picnic on a large grassy esplanade on the outskirts of Vernon
Here we will have all the space we need to respect the necessary distances.
If the weather wasn't with us, we could take shelter in the forest for a bit, but if it was raining really hard, I wouldn't have much more to offer than the Vernon bridge which spans the Seine, but anyway it will not rain!
Everyone brings their own meal, but you can also bring a little something to share. Remember to bring all the essentials: towels, cutlery, glasses; the elves are green, they will not have anything disposable.
For the moment we are few and the event takes place in the open air. But wearing a mask is now compulsory in the streets of Vernon. However, I don't know if this is the case when you are on the grassed esplanade and I do not think it is compulsory in the forest, so it's up to you. Maybe it will be better to settle in the forest, even if the sun is shining.
I am organizing a small taste competition in 5 parts, everyone can participate. The objective is to find the mystery ingredient in each of the preparations. The different recipes will be prepared with the greatest (possible) respect for the hygiene rules related to COVID), but those who prefer will be able to participate without tasting based solely on the eye and smell (see the texture for the more reckless, hee hee !!). On the other hand, depending on the number of participants, I may have to limit the number of participants in each game, but for the moment we are not many, everyone can taste everything
A total of 20 winners will be selected (by drawing lots if there are more than 4 winners per game). There will be a few small prizes (of all kinds) to be won
After the event those who do not know the region can visit Vernon (with a few caches and a lab), or Giverny (a brand new labcache to do there too). You can also take a walk in the forest of Bizy in search of caches of forest animals, and maybe some new caches, you never know.
