Geocache Description:

04 October 2020, 13:00 - 18:30

Welcome to the 5th Biennial Waukesha Geocaching Road Rally! We will be meeting at the picnic shelter at Frame Park in Waukesha (note the location change). Rain or shine. Event starts at 1pm, Road Rally teams will start out at 1:30pm. Cachers will have 4 hours to complete the rally.  We have the shelter all day but the hosts will likely leave around 7pm.

Geo-chatting all day long! Come hang out or to watch other cachers come back in from the rally. ALL are welcome to attend the event and enjoy the geo-chat.  This year is special as we were awarded a Community Celebration Event.  Please, wear a mask while geo-chatting around the shelter.

The road rally is a social gathering, a competitive game. There is a picnic shelter at the park after the rally for geo chatting. Unlike years past, I cannot supply dinner.   I'll bring pre-packaged water and other drinks.  Please bring your own food / drinks as well.   There are 15 picnic tables at the event, but feel free to bring lawn chairs or a blanket.

Official rally rules will be announced approximately 1 week before the event.

The course will take approximately 4 hours depending on how well you do.

Everyone will be sent out at the same time. New caches will be published AFTER the event.  You'll have to find more than caches.  There will be challenges to complete and scavenger hunt items and pictures to bring back.  Points will be awarded based on your time and what you complete.

Minimum of 2 people and a max of 6 people per team.  (updated: Teams can be a team of 2.  You may be significantly handicapped with only 2 people, but it you want to social distance with just 1 family member, that is your prerogative during these COVID times.  To keep things as fair as possible, only one car per team)   Please state in your log if you have a team or are looking to join one. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend the event, there is an awesome new all inclusive playground at the park.  I would recommend only kids 10 or older on a rally team given the number of stops and getting in and out of the car safely and quickly. You know your children best so ultimately the choice is up to you. ALL are welcome to attend the event and enjoy the food and geo-chat.

Please bring and wear a mask while geo-chatting around the shelter.
