Geocache Description:

01 July 2020, 10:00 - 12:00

On May 2, 2000, President Clinton in the US ordered that the military stop scrambling GPS signals, and this instantly made consumer electronics 10 times more accurate. Dave Ulmer hid a container including the infamous "can of beans" on May 3, which was found shortly after. This became geocaching's first hide when the geocaching.com website was launched in September, 2000. Now there's a plaque there, GCCV0P, that you can visit.

Calgarian's celebrated 10 years of geocaching at Nick's on May 2, 2010. This 20 year celebration will be held outside at Edworthy Park to allow many of us to attend while maintaining the required 2 metres distance from each other.

Outforthehunt has donated two walking sticks, and other door prizes will be available to be won.
