A cet emplacement, il y avait autrefois un moulin à vent. On peut encore en discerner la forme grâce à l'anneau de pierre qui en constituait la base et qui a subsisté jusqu'à nos jours.
Long ago , there was a windmill there. It is still possible today to distinguish the ring stone that was once the foundation of this building .
Au milieu de cet anneau de pierre, quelqu'un a planté un joli pin qui domine désormais les alentours et que l'on peut aujourd'hui voir de loin, au sommet d'un amas de gravats.
The stone ring frames gorgeously a pretty pine tree, planted on purpose, that now can be seen from afar, on top of a mound of rubble.
Lors de la seconde guerre mondiale, les Allemands ont en effet fait sauter le moulin (déjà en ruine à l'époque) de crainte qu'il ne serve de point de repère pour des bombardements alliés sur les fortifications alentour.
Indeed, during WWII, German occupants blew the building up to prevent it was used as a landmark for Allies bombardments against fortifications in the area.
Le site offre un beau panorama et permet de distinguer une partie du village ainsi qu'une bonne part des collines qui l'entourent.

De cette hauteur, on peut aussi distinguer un "bout" de Marseille, notamment Les grandes tours de la CMA-CGM.
