Geocarnaval 2020
¡Por fin llegó el carnaval! Hola, amig@s geocachers, querida familia geocachera. Como ya viene siendo tradición desde hace unos pocos años, queremos celebrar con vosotros el domingo de carnaval. ¡Sí, nos gusta disfrazarnos aparte de buscar cachés! Y ésta es una excusa más que ponemos para poder juntarnos. Ésta es nuestra tercera edición y, como siempre, queremos invitaros a compartir todos juntos momentos de risas, anécdotas y buen ambiente que suele acompañarnos entre nosotros gracias a esta sana afición, siempre seréis bienvenidos.
Este año, como muchos ya sabéis, es el vigésimo aniversario del nacimiento de este gran hobby que nos encanta, disfrutamos y tenemos en común, cada uno con su enfoque, pero que nos hace sentir como una gran familia repartida por todo el planeta. Año tras año os vais superando en las ideas del disfraz, y eso hace que cada vez los asistentes lo tengan más complicado para dar su voto al mejor de todos. Los que ya habéis venido en otras ocasiones, sabéis que cada año vamos cambiando la temática. Si el primer año intentamos disfrazarnos de nuestro avatar, el segundo invertimos los papeles.
Este año, en cambio, debido a que estamos de cumpleaños de geocaching.com, os proponemos hacer memoria y, ya que esta afición es mundial, incluso espacial, el reto es venir disfrazados de personajes históricos que hayan marcado de algún modo la historia mundial desde la prehistoria hasta la actualidad. Si ya tenéis alguna idea, adelante. Sirve cualquier tema que os apetezca y, si no os atrevéis a disfrazaros u os quedáis sin ideas, no dudéis en acercaros a pasar un rato en compañía. ¿Os atrevéis con el reto?
No os sintáis obligados a venir disfrazados ni a participar en el concurso que se realizará posteriormente. Si alguien, de hecho, no quisiera estar incluído en las posibles votaciones, que nos lo notifique antes. Sea cual sea vuestra elección de disfraz y/o de ser votado, todo aquel que se presente será bien recibido como miembro de la comunidad geocachera. Lo más importante es vuestra presencia, os estaremos esperando. ¡Contamos con todos vosotr@s!
¿Dónde y cuándo?
El evento lo organizamos en las mesas de pic-nic que hay en las puertas del Gulliver, en las coordenadas listadas. Lo organizamos el domingo 23 de febrero de 2020 a las 11:30. El programa que tenemos preparado seguirá más o menos el siguiente horario:
- 11:30 - Encuentro y recepción de los asistentes al evento. Se repartirán los distintivos para que sea más fácil identificar a los asistentes. Con tanto disfraz, la cosa se puede complicar, este año, aún más. No es obligatorio identificarse, pero facilitaría a todos saber con quién estamos hablando.
- 11:45 - Photocall. Aquellos asistentes que así lo deseen, podrán fotografiarse con el logo de signal preparado para el carnaval.
- 12:00 - Votaciones de los disfraces. Haremos varias categorías, para los pequeños y los mayores. Aunque no es obligado disfrazarse, no tengáis vergüenza, os quedaréis sin recompensa. Aún así, todos los asistentes tienen derecho a votar. Si, por motivos personales, no quieres optar al título de rey/reina, hazlo saber antes para que otro participante pueda tener el título.
- 12:15 - Pic-nic. Mientras los organizadores contamos los votos, podremos tomar un aperitivo mientras hablamos de nuestras cositas... lo típico... qué caché hemos visto, cuál se nos atraganta...
- 12:30 - Entrega de premios. Tras el recuento, se entregarán los premios según categorías.
- 12:45 - Fin del evento. Al finalizar, los que lo deseen, podrán participar en la tradicional foto familiar, una foto de grupo para el recuerdo.
2020 Geocarnaval
Finally the carnival arrived! Hello, geocacher friends, dear geocaching family. As it has been a tradition for a few years now, we want to celebrate Carnival Sunday with you. Yes, we like to disguise ourselves apart from looking for caches! And this is one more excuse we put in order to get together. This is our third edition and, as always, we want to invite you to share together moments of laughter, anecdotes and good atmosphere that usually accompanies us thanks to this healthy hobby, you will always be welcome.
This year, as many of you know, is the twentieth anniversary of the birth of this great hobby that we love, enjoy and have in common, each with its focus, but that makes us feel like a big family spread across the planet. Year after year you are surpassing yourself in the ideas of the costume, and that makes every time the attendees have it more complicated to give their vote to the best of all. Those who have already come on other occasions, you know that every year we change the theme. If the first year we try to disguise ourselves as our avatar, the second we invert the papers.
This year, on the other hand, because we are on geocaching.com's birthday, we propose you to remember and, since this hobby is worldwide, even spatial, the challenge is to come disguised as historical figures that have somehow marked world history from prehistory to the present. If you already have any ideas, go ahead. Serve any subject you feel like and, if you don't dare to disguise yourself or run out of ideas, don't hesitate to come and spend some time in company. Do you dare with the challenge?
Do not feel obliged to come in disguise or participate in the contest that will be held later. If someone, in fact, does not want to be included in the possible votes, let us know beforehand. Whatever your choice of disguise and / or be voted on, everyone who shows up will be well received as a member of the geocachera community. The most important thing is your presence, we will be waiting for you. We have all of you!
Where and when?
The event is organized at the picnic tables at the doors of the Gulliver, at the coordinates listed. We organized it on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 11:30. The program we have prepared will follow more or less the following schedule:
- 11:30 - Meeting and reception of those attending the event. Badges will be distributed to make it easier to identify attendees. With so much disguise, the thing can be complicated, this year, even more. It is not mandatory to identify, but it would make it easier for everyone to know who we are talking to.
- 11:45 - Photocall. Those who wish to do so may be photographed with the signal logo prepared for the carnival.
- 12:00 - Voting of costumes. We will make several categories, for children and adults. Although it is not obligatory to disguise yourself, do not be ashamed, you will remain without reward. Even so, all attendees have the right to vote. If, for personal reasons, you do not want to apply for the title of king / queen, let them know beforehand so that another participant can have the title.
- 12:15 - Picnic. While the organizers count the votes, we can have a snack while we talk about our little things ... the typical ... what cache we have seen, which one chokes us ...
- 12:30 - Award ceremony. After the count, the prizes will be awarded according to categories.
- 12:45 - End of the event. At the end, those who wish may participate in the traditional family photo, a group photo to remember.
