Geocache Description:

We are the visitors from Czech Republic and we found out that there is a very small amount of caches in Vladivostok. One day we visited a perfect place for an earthcache.

This cache leads you to Primorsky Aquarium that was opened on 3rd September 2016. It is the third largest aquarium in the world. There are 135 tanks of the Aquarium's nine permanent exhibit:

  • The Evolution of Life in the Ocean exhibit shows the creation of the Solar system and formation of the World Ocean.
  • The Microworld exhibit reveals the world of the smallest organism.
  • The Rivers and Lakes introduces visitors to a variety of natural landscapes, animals, and plants of the Amur River basin.
  • The Polar World exhibit shows the image of Arctica and Antarctica.
  • The Bering Sea and Sea of Okhotsk exhibit introduces visitors to highly productive seas providing the bulk of the fish and seafood caught in the Russian Federation.
  • The Sea of Japan/East Sea exhibit presents the species known from the Sea of Japan.
  • The Tropical Rain Forest exhibit reveals the visitor the enviroment of a tropical forest with its moist air and specific sounds.
  • The Ocean Abyss exhibit contains huge tanks with slowly moving fishes such as sharks, rays and pelagic fish.
