自然が豊富な吾妻連峰では、夏山登山やスキーなどが手軽に楽しめ、米沢の奥座敷、小野川温泉のほか、奥州三高湯のひとつ白布温泉、姥湯温泉、大平温泉、滑川温泉、新高湯温泉、五色温泉、湯の沢温泉などの豊富な温泉観光も楽しめます。

Yonezawa City is located at the base of the Azuma mountain range, the source of the "Mogami River", the southernmost point of Yamagata Prefecture.
Yonezawa is also known as a castle town, a vassal of "Uesugi Kagekatsu", the foundation of the clan government was established by "Naoe Kanetugu".after that, With the great frugality of the ninth lord "Uesugi Youzan", we rebuilt the finances of the clan, whose political beliefs are close to modern democratic thought, and still attracting attention.
At the Azuma mountain range rich in nature, you can enjoy summer mountain climbing and skiing easily, and you can also enjoy plentiful hot-spring sightseeing such as Onogawa hot spring, Shirabu hot spring, Odaira hot spring, Namekawa hot spring.
堂森善光寺
前田慶次が晩年万世町堂森に庵をかまえたと伝えられ、善光寺には供養塔が建てられています。
長井時広夫妻坐像(県指定有形文化財)、阿弥陀如来立像(見返り阿弥陀如来、県指定有形文化財)を所有。
また、阿弥陀堂には善光寺如来と「見返り阿弥陀像」が安置されています。
特に横向きで斜め下を向き左の救いの手を差しのべる見返阿弥陀如来の姿は、全国でも珍しい仏様との事。
境内にはあじさいが植えられており万世のあじさい寺としても知られています。
Domori Zenkoji Temple
It is reported that Keiji Maeda gave a mansion to Banseicho Domori later in the year, and a meditation tower was built at Zenkoji Temple. Owns Mr. and Mrs. Nagai Tokihiro (prefecturally designated tangible cultural property) and Amida Nyorai statue (in return, Amida Nyorai, prefecturally designated tangible cultural property)
Also, Amikodo is enshrined with Zenkoji Nyorai and the “Return Amida Statue”. The view of Amida Nyorai is a rare Buddha in Japan, especially in the sideways direction, looking diagonally down and giving the left hand of help.
Hydrangea is planted in the precincts and is also known as the Bansei Hydrangea Temple.
