Earlier this year I was planning a little caching trip.
Problem was that the caches were spread out over a relatively large area.
How could I get them in the most effective way without loosing too much time or spending a lot on expensive fuel?
In my search for an answer I ran into Cachetur.no
A website that promised to help me with these problems.
I must say my first encounter with the website was a bit "troublesome" as I had no clue on what to do.
But after digging my way through their help pages, I slowly got the hang of it.
A few months later I went on a caching trip with Gunnarlj and Nevelyn Gorgora.
Again I made use of the Cachetur.no website.
The trip went really well and both Gunnar and Nevelyn seemed happy with the result as well.
As they showed interest in Cachetur, I tried to explain them what the website was all about, how you could create trips, what you needed to do,...
Not easy while being on the road, caching, driving, not having a computer at hand to show stuff,...
That is where I got the idea to do an event about Cachetur.
Not only to show others what Cachetur is about, but also to see if others are using it and how they use it and.
So...

Come and join me on Saturday 14th of December between 14.00 and 15.30 at the Karolinen building in Karlstad as I will try to give a quick introduction to what Cachetur is all about and hopefully we can exchange knowledge if you already have experience with the website.
As the building normally is locked and I have access, we will meet just outside the main entrance so I can let everyone in.
Parking is available near the building (see extra waypoints) but keep in mind that these are not free.
Don't park in front of the building as that area is very expensive.
I have access to a conference room where we have room for 10 to max. 15 people.
So make sure you submit your "will attend" well in time.

Create a free account at Cachetur.no. Try some stuff yourself and see what questions you might have.

Bring a laptop/tablet so that you can follow along and practice building a trip (remember your charger, extension cord,...)
