Geocache Description:

Please be aware that this area is along a cliff. Be sure to look up from your device every so often to avoid catastrophe!

I really like something different and a letterbox hybrid gives one the opportunity to find the cache using only clues. However, since this is geocaching after all, GPS usage must be part of finding a letterbox hybrid. This cache gives you the option to find the cache by either following the letterbox-style clues or by projecting a series of waypoints. It is up to you on which method to get that smiley.

The posted coordinates take you to a sign along the trail, serving as the starting point for both letterbox-style clues and waypoint projections.

Letterbox Clues

  1. Continue on north 30 steps to the next sign along the trail.
  2. On the next sign, two points of interest are listed with distance and direction.
  3. Using the info on the second sign, turn in the direction of the last point of interest points.
  4. Walk 35 steps along the trail until you arrive at a man-made object with a white tip.
  5. Turn left (east) at the man-made object onto the lesser traveled trail.
  6. Follow the lesser traveled trail roughly 130 steps until you find another sign.
  7. At the sign, the trail switches back and descends.
  8. Follow the trail past teh switchback for 4 steps.
  9. From the trail, turn right (north) off of the trail and go 5 steps, skrting below the ledge above.
  10. On your right (east) is the opening ot a small cave.
  11. Go inside and to the rear of the cave to find the cache.
