Geocache Description:

Bexleyheath, St Thomas Moore. Another Church Micro in the series created by Sadexploration. This cache replaces one previously here GC4ABB2

A cache in the über suburbs that grew in this area during the 1930's. Unlike the centuries-old village churches that the CM series celebrates, this cache marks one of the more modern churches that were established to serve the theological needs of the growing suburban population.

A temporary chapel was erected on the present site in 1936, by Rev James Malone, the then Parish Priest of Crayford, who was also responsible for founding St John Vianney Church in Bexleyheath and St John Fisher Church in Bexley. The siting of a chapel here, in the area of Bostall Park, was an act of faith and vision since at that time the area was mainly open fields.

The present church of St. Thomas More was opened for worship Midnight Mass, Christmas 1951, having been built at the cost of £11,000.

You are looking for a 1.5ml magnetic container.
