This really cool little arboretum at the "Shimer College" is a pretty place to visit. It was renamed from "Mount Carroll Seminary" to "Shimer College" in 1950 when it went from being all-female campus to coeducational again. During the 70's Shimer was faced with problems due to decreasing enrollment. In 1979, Shimer vacated it's Mount Carroll campus and moved to Waukegan, Illinois. The campus was put up for auction and was bought by a group of local citizens, who founded the Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies.
Today, the Campbell Center offers intensive, hands-on training workshops for individuals who work in museums, libraries, archives, historic sites, and other historic preservation fields.
Cache is super small, and you might need a tool to extract the log scroll. (A toothpick works fine). This cache you are seeking is not going to be too easy to find. But nothing that is worth having ever is: whether it's an education, or a geocache! ;)
