Today is ” Great American Smokeout Day ”!

Since this ‘holiday’ was created back in 1977 by the American Cancer Society, it has been held annually on the third Thursday of November. But every day is a perfect time to quit. And as long as there are people struggling with the addiction and severe health problems associated with smoking, (and while I’m hosting BWTG on the same day!) I’ll continue to post this November event.
Did you know that cigars and cigarettes are the only product that have absolutely no useful value. And if used as intended will cause sickeness and disease. That’s crazy! And I’m an ex-smoker. So be smart, don’t start!

If you know someone who smokes, never stop offering encouragement to kick this nasty smelling habit. Smokers have no idea how bad it is until after they quit, or worse, it’s too late. It’s time to kick smokings butt!

Quote of the day – “Asthma doesn't seem to bother me any more unless I'm around cigars or dogs. The thing that would bother me most would be a dog smoking a cigar. “ - Steve Allen

The event??
Breakfast With The Gang. Breakfast With The Geocachers. Bulging Waistlines Totally Grew. Breakfast With The Goofballs. Beware When Travis Geocaches. Breakfast With Team Geochef. Best Way To Geocache. Breakfast While Talking Geocaching. BWTG="Brian-Wussy; Travis-Greatest".

Call it what you want, but whatever you call it, it IS good food and great company. So let's get together, talk caching, and eat!

Celebrating a Milestone?
We want to know! Post it on the event page and you'll be acknowledged here as an official part of this event's history!

What do I do AFTER the event?
If you don't have to go to work or be somewhere else, we suggest you get out and cache!!! Either alone or with one of the groups that will, undoubtedly, be formed before, during or after the event. A great geocaching day can start here!
