Welcome to The Foot Of The 'Tops - Barrington Tops. This is where you will leave the bitumen and hit the gravel, or vice-versa. Access across the range to Gloucester can be done in a 2WD vehicle in dry conditions - as this is an alpine area, snow can be expected in cooler weather on the plateau, which is at approx 1500m above sea level. The road is well graded, but quite rough and rocky. Check online for any road closures.
The cache is a large preform with room for very small swag, hidden in the true roadside touring cache style, overlooking Moonan Brook.
